Dr Monica Gaur MB BS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Monica Gaur is a GP practising in Bathurst since 2015 who enjoys all aspects of health and age groups but has a keen interest and experience in women’s health.

She graduated and trained as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India before moving to Australia in 2007. She has worked extensively in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in various hospitals in Sydney including Westmead /Blacktown hospitals. She has worked in the Sexual Health Clinic at Westmead hospital. She has settled in Bathurst with her family.

In addition to English, she can speak fluent Hindi/can understand Punjabi.

She offers the following services related to women’s health:

• Contraceptive counselling

• Implanon insertion/Depot injection

• Preconception counselling/Antenatal and Postnatal care /Shared care with local Obstetric services

• Breast related issues

• Cervical Screening Test [previously called Pap smear]

• Sexual health/STI screening/counselling HIV/Hep C management including able to prescribe medicines in community PrEP/PEP management for HIV

• Transgender health

• Perimenopause /Menopause including HRT

• Recurrent UTI in females Incontinence and Vaginal pessary follow up care and maintenance
